I am so excited to announce that my first book is in progress!
My forthcoming parenting book from Quill Driver Books will be all about how nature can help children feel happier and calmer.
It will serve as a comprehensive toolkit of nature-based stress reduction tools for families with elementary and middle school age children. It will include both the scientific research and examples of fun, hands-on activities for children and parents to enjoy together.
Tools include awe and gratitude, mindfulness, creative arts, outdoor play and adventure, volunteering, food, and animals. These ideas range from hiking and bike rides to visiting nature centers and science museums to volunteering outdoors in nature. In addition, the book will highlight cutting edge topics like cow cuddling, forest bathing, float therapy, nature prescriptions, negative ions, and earthing.
